FOUR YEARS!! What?? How?
How on earth could a cat be failed so poorly by the humans in her life? How could she be in this system for 4 long years? Diamond had been in and out of several different homes and here she sat in the shelter.
With no consistency and with no one to truly advocate for her, there she was just watching her life pass by day by day. A perfectly good cat staring through the glass window while people passed by her day in and day out. Watching other cats leave for their forever homes, everyone left the room but her.
I couldn't take it anymore. What followed was an onslaught of posting on Facebook. POST & POST SOME MORE! Then there was posting.... oh and more posting. "Awareness Equals Adoptions" after all. She was FINALLY adopted by a loving older couple that happened to have other cats but were happy to add to their family. I remember her new Mom sending updates on how great she was doing, her favorite spots to sleep and that she was coexisting nicely with her feline siblings.
